Inspired by the late Tony Gleaton’s body of work documenting the Black experience across Latin America, this series of digital collages functions as both homage and continuation. Using Gleaton’s photography as a foundation, I introduced layered iconography, texture, and contemporary visual language to explore the depth, tension, and cultural richness of Afro Latin identity.
The work bridges archive and present, expanding the conversation he began through a modern, self authored lens that reflects both reverence and reinterpretation.
